Dynatrace Partners Highlight AI-Driven Innovation at Perform 2025

Leading technology partners share perspectives on Dynatrace's latest announcements in preventive operations, security, developer tools, and AI capabilities.

Dynatrace partners at Perform 2025 emphasized how the latest platform innovations address critical enterprise challenges in AI adoption, security, and developer productivity. The announcements span preventive operations, cloud security, developer observability, and enhanced AI capabilities.

Scott Wintermute, Global Observability Lead at Accenture, particularly praised Dynatrace's AI capabilities. "They were two to three years ahead of the rest of the industry in their internal AI capabilities between the predictive and causal," he noted. "That's why we've invested in what we're doing."

The evolution of Davis AI, Dynatrace's AI engine, drew significant attention. "There's an under-appreciation of Davis and the AI built in Dynatrace right now," Wintermute explained. "The topology and tracing root matters because I know if this talk to this in a trace. Many of our competitors are putting correlations together, but Dynatrace has a more accurate causal piece."

The new Observability for Developers solution, including Live Debugger, received a strong endorsement from Bryan Cole, Director of Customer Engineering at Tricentis. "You want to be able to triage things running in production rapidly to understand exactly what's taking place. That's where live debugging will start to shine," Cole explained.

Cole emphasized how this bridges the gap between development and operations: "Nothing's worse for an IT ops team than to be given a software build that you know nothing about to deploy Friday night. Hope is a terrible strategy." He shared impressive customer results: "a large retail site seeing an 80-90% reduction in time to analyze performance test results, and a healthcare provider experiencing a 90% reduction in problem identification time and 95% reduction in mean time to resolution."

The new Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution addresses growing enterprise security challenges. Howard Boville of DXC noted it's "essential" as environments become "exponentially more complex for CISOs." The solution's ability to provide continuous monitoring and automated remediation across hybrid environments has become critical for enterprises navigating complex compliance requirements.

Preventive operations capabilities through Davis AI particularly excited partners as it addresses fundamental industry challenges. "We're seeing three problems," Wintermute explained. "Requests for change faster, architectures getting more complex, and budgets not going upward. We need help directionally pointing us to where there might be issues."

The impact on AI workloads was a key focus. "AI workloads are just new workloads that need to be traced," Wintermute noted. "We need to know how LLMs are interacting and working. Tracing at the core will be critical, and the metrics and everything are the holy grail - and Dynatrace has Grail."

Partners emphasized how Dynatrace's decade of AI experience through Davis sets it apart. "You've been the best in the business on your AI capabilities," Wintermute told Dynatrace executives. "The predictive algorithms you use to baseline are huge, but you've gotten zero credit for it."

I also spoke with Mitch Ashley, VP and Practice Lead, DevOps and Application Development, The Futurum Group, who believes, “Dynatrace is steeped in helping customers monitor, triage, and investigate problems and their root causes. Still, operations and developers are left to put the puzzle pieces together. Shifting observability left by tying production events and telemetry data back to the codebase puts powerful and contextualized information into developers' hands.”

The consensus among partners and analysts is that Dynatrace's unified approach to observability, security, and AI positions it well for enterprises navigating complex digital transformations. As Cole summarized: "Good performance is invisible. When you trend data and compare it to production, you can have meaningful conversations about business impact and infrastructure needs."
